Three minutes of film. Three shorts people finish.

Few people finish a three-minute film on a phone. Scrub the timeline, find the moments, cut them into vertical shorts with a hook and captions.

Demo edit, not a paid job. The filming is not mine: Vegan Pastry - Voted Best Croissant in Miami, Chef's Roll, CC BY 3.0. My part is the moments, the framing and the captions.

What happens to each clip.

0.0 s

Start on the strongest line.

Each short opens on the first word of the story. No logo, no intro. People decide in about a second.

16:9 to 9:16

Reframe for a phone.

The vertical crop is set shot by shot, so the hands and the pastry stay in the frame.

Captions

Word-by-word captions.

Most people watch with the sound off. The current word lights up, so the eye keeps moving.

Dead air

Keep only the story.

Everything around the line goes. Three minutes become three clips of 9 to 15 seconds.

End

End on the payoff.

Each clip stops on the number or the result, with no fade-out, so it is easy to watch again.

The film and the voice are real, and this is not a client job. I cut, reframed and captioned it for this demo, and put other shots from the same film over two product screens. The moments and the hooks are my choice.

Got a long video nobody finishes?

Send me the recording. You get three to five shorts with hooks, captions and vertical framing, plus a note on why each moment was picked.
